The “Industrial Symbiosis Project in Izmir Region,” which began in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Turkey and the Izmir Development Agency (IZKA). Project brought together businesses for everday use of all kinds of resources, especially waste, by-products, and technology. It is intended to build cooperation and to execute a Izmir-specific industrial symbiosis model. In this regard, on April8,2022,  Izmir Industrial Symbiosis Management Workshop was organized to define the most suitable management model for Izmir and to solicit feedback and proposals from area stakeholders. Dr.-Ing. Mehmet Ali Küçüker,  our department’s faculty members, participated to this workshop by sharing his thoughts and ideas.
