Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Environmental Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology, Turkey

Department of Environmental Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology is seeking outstanding individuals for multiple tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level preferrably in the main areas of environmental engineering such as (1) water quality and engineering, (2) industrial – domestic wastewater treatment, and (3) soil pollution and control. Applicants should hold BSc and PhD degrees in Environmental Engineering. Research experience as a post-doc would ceratinly be advantageous.

Izmir Institute of Technology has a reputation for innovative programs, cutting-edge research, leading faculty, and aspiring students. It has earned a strong reputation as a centre for academic excellence and innovation. IzTech has approximately 200 faculty members, along with close to 4,000 undergraduate and 1000 graduate students in three schools: Engineering, Science, and Architecture.

The Department of Environmental Engineering has recently been established on the experience built through interdisciplinary environmental engineering graduate programs supported by faculty from Departments of Chemical, Mechanical, and Food Engineering, Department of Chemistry, and Departments of Architectural Restoration and City & Regional Planning. Both MSc and PhD degrees are offered.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching in the interdisciplinary graduate programs, help develop new graduate programs under the Department of Environmental Engineering, and to develop a strong research program.
